Scholarships
Each year, the American Mensa Education and Research Foundation (MERF) makes available more than $60,000 in regional and national scholarship funds. In addition, Northern Michigan Mensa is offering two local scholarships of $500 each. Prizes are awarded based on essays written by the applicants regarding their academic and career goals. Applicants must be citizens or residents of the United States and planning to enroll in a degree program at an accredited institution of higher learning in the Fall of 2010. Membership in Mensa is not a requirement in this scholarship contest, nor is there any age requirement.
The application can be downloaded at: http://www.mensafoundation.org/Sites/foundation/NavigationMenu/Scholarships/USprocess/USProcess.htm Applications for 2010 scholarships will not be available until the first week of September 2009.
